What is chionophobia?

Fear of snow

Imagine living in a climate that experiences heavy snowfall in the winter months. Now imagine you suffer from an irrational fear of snow. That's the worst scenario possible for someone struggling with chionophobia, an irrational fear of snow. People affected by this disorder often find it practically impossible to be in or around snow. Some will suffer a full-on anxiety attack at merely seeing pictures or video of snow. Most chionophobiacs end up making life choices based on their condition, often relocating to warmer climates to decrease their potential encounters with snow. Source: Psychtimes.com

Interesting fact:

Someone suffering from chionophobia may also exhibit other anxiety disorders.
